A lot of fast foods out there are Acidifying. High-stress work and life also result in producing more acid in the body. Alcohol, smoking, environmental toxins, factory-raised animals and their byproducts all contribute to an increase in acidity within the body.

Bringing in powerful greens into the diet will help to make the body more alkaline, resulting in less pain, bloating and feeling more energized. A lot of pain in the body is brought about by inflammation. Inflammation can be caused by many things, one of which is high acidity. If you have arthritis, osteoporosis, IBS or any inflammatory disease this smoothie will not only be a great and refreshing way to start off your morning it will aid in reducing your inflammation.

Nutritional Benefits

Pomegranate

Pomegranates are native to Iran, they can be white in color or a deep dark red. A high source of Vitamin C, E, and Folate, Pomegranate benefits individuals with heart disease, high blood pressure, and cancer. It aids in the digestion of food and the health of the digestive system. It brings up the immune system as well as helping to reduce stress.

Mango 

The highly aromatic mango was first cultivated in India around 2000 BC. There are between 40-60 varieties of Mangos. High in Vitamin C, fiber and pectin. It is beneficial in aiding to prevent cancer, balancing cholesterol levels and helps to alkalinize the body. It improves skin and eye health as well as improving one’s digestive health.

Organic Wheatgrass

Around the 1930s Charles Schnabel and his team of scientists discovered the nutritional density of wheatgrass (as well as other cereal grasses). They calculated that its highest nutritional value was available in the early spring when the shoots were short. It is a high source of Iron, chlorophyll (making it a great alkalizer), magnesium, Vitamin A, Calcium, vitamin c, and E as well as Selenium. It is rich in secondary plant compounds such as flavonoids and phenolic acid.

Flax Seeds

Flax seeds are one of the first crops to have been cultivated by humans. They range in color, brown to golden yellow. An incredible source of omega 3 fatty acids, flax seeds also contain a good amount of Vitamin B1, copper, manganese, fiber, magnesium, selenium and phosphorus. Flax seeds are beneficial for skin health, the health and strength of the cardiovascular system, moreover by being amazing antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents flax seeds are also great for aiding in combating cancer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pomegranate Juice
  • 1 Mango
  • 1/2 cup Wheat Grass juiced
  • 2 tbsp Flax Seeds

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients into a smoothie and blend
  • If you’d like to cool it down a bit you can always add a bit of ice
  • If it is too thick for you add water to it.
